A fenced hole next to the field boundary. A 4m ladder climb or slide down revealed an interesting bedding just above the choked floor with a slight draught which could be dug out.
Removing material in the autumn 2024 confirmed a good draught and, after 15m of small passage, reached the top of a constricted pitch. Further work was required.
An unsuccessful attempt to retrieve a dropped lump hammer with a powerful magnet was made in January 2025.
At Easter 2025, the pitch top was widened (for thinner, smaller people) and the 24m deep shaft dropped to about 20m (?) of upstream passage to a blockage and about the same length (?) downstream. The stream sinks into tiny routes and, beyond, higher level squeezes reach a small choke. There is also an uphill climb on the right hand wall. A rift passage can be seen part way down the pitch with a possible draught. The site has been sketched (lengths are approximate) but not fully surveyed.
After Easter 2025: Cave is derigged, there are four 8mm stud type bolts at the pitch head, all have washers and nuts present. So just hangers and maillons are needed.
