[Original description
A small entrance leads to a climb down into a small chamber with a strong draught. When the entrance was photographed in the summer, 2012, no draught was noticed. The cave was surveyed in July 2024 with the draught shown.
The cave was extended for about 50m beyond the dig in December 2024. A small, 1m high, stream passage was followed to a "sizeable chamber with a large flowstone dome." There are other possible routes to look at, and it is hoped to further document the extension at Easter 2025. ]

Note: The length above is incorporated into the length of Risco, i.e. 11840 + 785m = 12625m (May 2025)

Updated description after being extended and linked to Risco at the Tonto Series, April 2025:
The continuation of the cave is through a low crawl at the bottom of the passage on the left of the entrance. It gradually increases in size, picks up a tiny stream, and soon comes to a chamber with a flowstone dome straight ahead. After crossing the flowstone, a scramble down drops into a larger passage. To the right in the chamber, the passage meets an inlet on the right and then continues to a more exposed climb down to the same large passage. Directly opposite this climb, a walking size inlet, the Philosopher's Stone, heads in a north-east direction for about 45m and then turns towards the south for a further 55m before ending in a choke.
The main passage, Fool's Gold, continues mostly as a high and narrow rift passage with the stream. An unsurveyed inlet enters under the right-hand wall. After about 150m of walking and shuffling sideways, the stream cuts down and it's necessary to climb up a couple of metres to the continuation on a higher level. This comes to the top of an 11m pitch. There appears to be an alcove on the right across the pitch. It is impossible to see if a passage enters there and it can only be reached by traversing.
The pitch drops in fact into the chamber that was reached at the end of the Tonto Series in the Risco System (#0025) in 1975. The stream that has been followed in Fool's Gold is joined at the bottom of the pitch by another stream that emerges out of a tiny sump. The combined waters flow into the Tonto Series, which is described with the main Risco system. [Pete Smith]
