This site is at the south side of the depression (with an oak? tree) below a small crag. (It has the same grid reference as site 1337). A low bedding plane that was excavated to a 4 x 5m chamber (Gollum's Lair). A low, mud-floored bedding goes off here at 110° and has been disto'd for 13m. A spade is required for digging out. There is an unconvincing intermittent draught.
