Three separate rifts in a rock outcrop in a rough ground field. These were explored in August 2013.
The western one (Eur79 grid reference converted from SigPac ED50 then ETRS89 shown above) is approx 4m deep 1m long at the western end of a shallow limestone outcrop. (This is where the GPS reading at Easter - 30T 448204 4796167; ETRS89: 30T 448102 4795958 - was taken). The hole continues but much too thin for further progress.
The middle one is by a small ash and oak tree (Eur79 grid reference converted from SigPac ED50 is 0448233 4796168; ETRS89: 30T 448131 4795959) is estimated at 6m deep. The very narrow rift would need capping. There is no draught in this 2m long feature. Some 3 to 4m to the east is another rift, 3.5m deep and 1m long onto a choked floor.
All the above rifts are aligned very roughly north.
