An open, 3m diameter shaft. A 10m pitch ends at a small window onto a 22m pitch. There is a strong draught here. A small, clean-washed, cobble-floored, winding passage leads off from the bottom of the pitch for 30m to a small enlargement at a 4m drop which continues to a blind 8m deep hole in the floor. At roof level, a tight passage leads to further drops of 8m this time into a chamber. The route out of the chamber is a stooping passage which degenerates into a crawl with possible digs at terminal chokes.
The site was looked at again at Easter 2017 and the following rigging notes produced. It also appears that the survey (survex file) is wrong and the whole cave should be re-surveyed.

RIGGING
p1: 10m drop off trees. 12m rope required.
p2: 22m. Through bolt above letterbox and 4m long sling rebelay and rope protector, then Y-hang off 2 through bolts to the bottom. 35m rope. (Suggest an extra through bolt above letterbox if drill available.)
