Updated 4th October 2013

When first documented in 2008 this was described as a 9m shaft, covered with wood. In 2013 it was described as a fenced 5m pitch to a sloping mud and stone floor. There is a tight rift at the base about 20cm wide leading to a 1m drop which is not worth pursuing.

Sites 2890-2895 were first documented at Easter 2008 with a suspect GPS. An annotated map was used to position sites. They were reinvestigated in July 2013. Site codes used during this visit were tied to the original number after reading the old descriptions and viewing photographs. This moved the original positions in quite random directions! Sites 2890-2894 now have the new GPS coordinates; site 2895 was not seen and it is likely that site 1190 should be further to the east. Site 2891 could also be quite close to its original position (above) rather than one 15 - 20m lower. See map in log book (28/7/13), site B02. See also site 3933 and site 3934.
